Outlook Outage: Exchange Online/ Outlook Desktop Affected

Microsoft has identified an issue in which some customers served from the Americas are experiencing problems accessing the Exchange Online service. Engineers are continuing to troubleshoot the problematic servers to mitigate impact. Improvements to service health have been made and some customers have confirmed successful resolution. The next update will be provided by October 29th, 2013 at 12:00 am UTC or upon service restoration.

Restoring service: Microsoft has identified an issue in which some customers served from the Americas may be experiencing problems connecting to Exchange Online via Post Office Protocol (POP) and Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP). Engineers have identified the cause of the issue and are implementing steps to restore service.

Some customers may be unable to retrieve or leave voice mail messages. Microsoft engineers are investigating.
